Privacy statement pursuant to Section 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 

Pursuant to Section 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, we wish to inform you that the Autonomous Region of Sardinia will process the personal data you provide in compliance with current personal data protection legislation. 
Pursuant to Section 4 (1)(b) of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, personal data means "any information relating to natural or legal persons, bodies or associations that are or can be identified, even indirectly, by reference to any other information including a personal identification number." 

Pursuant to Article 4(1)(a) of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, "personal data processing" means "any operation, or set of operations, carried out with or without the help of electronic or automated means, concerning the collection, recording, organisation, keeping, interrogation, elaboration, modification, selection, retrieval, comparison, utilization, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, erasure and destruction of data, whether or not the latter are contained in a data bank". 

In accordance with the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree no. 196/2003), the processing of data by the data controller or the data processor shall respect the data subject’s rights, fundamental freedoms and dignity, particularly with regard to confidentiality, personal identity and the right to personal data protection. 
The data are processed, by means of the operations or set of operations mentioned in Section 4(1)(a) of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, on both paper and IT media. 

The personal data requested by the Region must be provided to enable users to access the services, and will be used only for institutional purposes. 

Any data you provide will be held at the office of the data processors, who are the Managers of the competent services, only for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data are acquired and processed. 

The data you provide shall be collected, processed and held in accordance with Section 31 et seq. of the Personal Data Protection Code and with the Technical Specifications - Annex B to the Code - concerning security measures. 
Pursuant to Section 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, data subjects may at any time obtain information on the processing of their data, on the purposes and methods of said processing and on the logic applied to it. They also have the right to obtain: 

1) confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them exist, communication of such data and information on the source of the data; 
2) the identification data concerning the data controller, the data processors and the entities or categories of entities to whom or to which the personal data may be communicated and who/which may obtain such data in their capacity as data processors or persons in charge of the processing; 
3) the updating, rectification and integration of the data; 
4) the erasure, anonymization or blocking of any unlawfully processed data; 
5) certification to the effect that the operations as per points 3) and 4) above have been notified to the entities to whom or to which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible to implement or involves a manifestly  disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected; 
6) data subjects shall have the right to object: on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even though they might be relevant to the purpose of the collection; to the processing of their personal data for the purpose of sending advertising materials or for the performance of market surveys. 

The data controller is the Director General of the Department of Tourism, Craft and Trade of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia.
